In Secondary School, students deepen their Maths knowledge through extension classes, specially run programs and competitions, and an increasingly complex subject choices from Preparatory Mathematics in Year 10听 to Specialist Mathematics in more Senior years.

Flinders is also the first school in Queensland to extend its students through the globally-renowned Cambridge International Curriculum, with a class of students from the Middle School Years 7-8 commencing the Cambridge IGCSE Mathematics program in July.

This specialist curriculum will see the 16 students involved attempt to extend their Maths knowledge by a full calendar year beyond what they might normally experience in the Australian Curriculum by the end of Year 9.
