The Flinders Foundation Scholarship is part of the College鈥檚 30-year anniversary celebrations next year, and will be awarded to a student commencing Year 10 in 2020.

The Flinders Foundation Scholarship is provided by the Flinders Foundation and will be awarded to a student who is an outstanding all-round contributor and will positively enhance the College community.

The scholarship is provided to enable students, who would otherwise not be able to afford a quality education, to attend the College from Year 10 to Year 12.

The scholarship will cover 50% remission of the recipient鈥檚 tuition fees for the three-year period from 2020-2022.

Flinders Foundation Chair Travis Schultz said the scholarship was an exciting opportunity for a student with special talents and commitment to prosper from a quality education.

鈥淭he Flinders Foundation has funded this scholarship to benefit a student who is passionate about receiving a top quality education,鈥 Travis said.

鈥淚t is not just Flinders鈥 high academic record and caring community spirit that will attract applicants to this scholarship but also the extensive opportunities to explore our College鈥檚 co-curricular opportunities across sports, music, the arts and drama,鈥 he said.

鈥淎s a Foundation, we are focused on philanthropic efforts to engage with our school and local community to support the ongoing development of facilities and programs at Flinders for the long-term benefit of our students.

鈥淏y funding this scholarship and previous facilities at Flinders, the Flinders Foundation is fulfilling its mission to connect, engage and support.鈥

The Foundation has contributed $3.4 million towards projects across the College campus such as the Sports Centre, Chapel, Drama Centre, and the $13 million Flinders Performance Centre, which is an innovative venue utilised by the Sunshine Coast community.
